There are a total of thirteen different character stories in Dragon Ball Z: Supersonic Warriors along with an additional three saga stories for players to experience within the story mode.

Below is a vague example of the controls used by players for every character in story mode (Complete details on character controls can be found in Training Mode). Some controls, such as power beams, are different for each character. Play as every character in the game to figure out every basic character control.

[edit] Basic Controls

  • (A) - Press to preform a weak kick against foes. While in the air and a great distance from opponents press to fly faster towards them.
  • (B) - Press to preform a weak punch against foes. While in the air and opponent is above your character press to preform a weak kick.
  • Hold (L) + (R) - Press to preform a charge up.
  • Hold (R) + (A) - Press to preform a power bomb.
  • Hold (A) - Use this control to defend your character from powerful kicks, punches, and power beams.
  • (A) + (↑) - Press to preform a powerful punch when level with foes. While in the air and opponent is below your character press to preform a powerful kick. All other control combinations, such as (A) + (→), (←) or (↓), will have the same effect as pressing (A) + (↑).
