Recoome is one of the members of the Ginyu Force, as his bulky size would suggest, his greatest asset is his incredible strength. However his incredible strength isn't powerful enough or more powerful than Goku's. He is later defeated by Goku and then killed by Vegeta.

Recoome had easily defeated a full-power Vegeta who had a PL of 30,000 that time (Vol. 23, pg 153 of the Dragon Ball manga). Krillin stated that Burter and Jeice have about the same amount of ki (Vol. 24, pg 74 of the Dragon Ball manga). Taking these factors into consideration, Recoome's power level was approximately on the same level as that of Burter and Jeice's. When Captain Ginyu estimated Goku's power level to be at around 60,000, Jeice exclaimed that Recoome never stood a chance.
