Hoy is a fictional character who appeared in Dragonball Z.

[edit] Plot involvement

Hoy exclusively appears in the 13th Dragonball Z movie:Wrath of the Dragon. He does not appear in Akira Toriyama's original manga, making him a non canon character. He is an old alien who tricks the Z-fighters into summoning Shenlong and wishing for Tapion to be released from the magic box he has been sealed in. By releasing Tapion, Hoy intends to remove the half of a monster called Hirudegarn who has been sealed within Tapion's body. His goal is to reunite both halves of Hirudegarn and use the monster to take over the universe. Ultimately, Goku destroys Hirudegarn and Hoy's plans are ended.
